Don Kottick, president of REMAX Canada, has been named the No. 1 Most Influential Voice in Canadian Real Estate by Buzz Buzz Media, leading a list of 100 industry professionals recognized for their contributions to the real estate market.
The distinction reflects more than professional status – it recognizes individuals whose impact is actively shaping the future of real estate. According to Buzz Buzz Media, the top honor is reserved for a leader whose influence extends beyond personal achievement and demonstrates the highest standard of leadership, vision, innovation and service to the profession.
Kottick earned the No. 1 ranking for his decades-long impact across the Canadian real estate landscape and the meaningful changes he continues to drive across the industry.

Kottick, who joined REMAX in April 2024, brings more than 30 years of experience to the role. He supports a community of Broker/Owners and more than 25,000 agents across a network of independently owned and operated offices nationwide. Since stepping into the position, he has focused on elevating Broker/Owner and agent success, strengthening the brand’s market presence and fostering a culture of professionalism, productivity and collaboration.
During Kottick’s tenure, the brand saw the historic conversion to the REMAX brand of Your Community Realty and Connect Realty, both of which moved from Royal LePage, and welcomed more than 1,200 agents into the network. He has championed a renewed focus on commercial real estate, including key strategic hires to accelerate growth in that market. He has also helped amplify the brand’s luxury presence, ensuring greater visibility for high-end properties and the agents who serve that market.
In addition, Kottick has doubled down on community impact – most notably supporting Children’s Miracle Network through the REMAX Canada network, which collectively raised $5.1 million in 2025, reinforcing the brand’s longstanding commitment to giving back.

In addition, he holds the Fellow of the Real Estate Institute (FRI) designation from the Real Estate Institute of Canada (REIC).
