Steve Simonetti has experienced a lot in his real estate career. As an agent for more than 50 years, he’s seen a thing or two – or three. Mostly recently, when the opportunity presented itself, he saw what REMAX truly provided – and decided he couldn’t leave the trusted red, white and blue.
After 35 years as an agent with a REMAX brokerage, Simonetti faced a crossroads and chose to grow. Transitioning from an agent to owner, Simonetti opened REMAX NEXUS in Redondo Beach, California, with just himself and a dream.
He also had a strong brand reputation behind him. With that, he’s building a business and ready to pay it forward by creating a “culture of winners.”

Simonetti says he knew from the start that REMAX was the place to be because of its professional standing, global reach, trusted name and competitive edge.
“I started noticing that all the good agents – the great agents – were affiliated with the REMAX brand. I found that they were the best prepared. So, I joined a REMAX brokerage to get a good education and turn my career into growth and success.”
Over the years, Simonetti built a small team, earned accolades and created a business that allowed him to give back: to his family with a livelihood that supported them, to his clients by helping them find homes, and to team members by helping them flourish in their own real estate careers.
And through it all, he credits the brand that started it all.
“I’ve always run a small team, and I’ve always felt that being affiliated with a big brand was the reason for my success,” he says.
Now, he’s ready to pay it forward to the next generation of agents as he embarks on the next chapter of his career.

Having navigated many transitions during his tenure, Simonetti is passionate about not just owning a REMAX franchise but creating a growth-oriented culture built around mentoring and support – for agents and clients alike.
“I want to build a culture where they know that we have all the tools they need to grow their business to longevity. We have the experience of helping them through that process – building a team, building a brand of their own – so that someday they have something of value.”
While he’s eager to mentor and foster longevity, Simonetti emphasizes maintaining high ethical standards so clients win, too.
“A culture of winners is what I want to create, but the winners are the clients. We understand that by only operating in the best interests of our clients, we become winners together. We become successful when they repeat, refer and continue with us. This is a longevity program – not a one-shot deal.”

As Simonetti looks toward the future, he says he feels prepared to bring his best with the support of the REMAX brand.
“I want the client to feel they’ve had the Disneyland experience – that nothing happens by mistake, but rather a plan. REMAX is the plan and I believe in it,” he says.
Having found the winning plan for himself, he adds: “I want to share that through REMAX NEXUS.”
